nouba was founded in 1978 by the talented Italian makeup artist Rosie Armanini, after a trip to Africa that changed her life. Inspired by the beauty and joy of the colors used by the tribes of Sudan, Rosie decided to experiment with materials and pigments. This led her to create her own products, known for their amazing colors and pigmentation. The brand is also known as a trailblazer in the 80s as the first brand to create the terracotta powder bronzer
Rosie gave the line the name NOUBA, as a tribute to the people who inspired her to create beyond her familiar territories, bolder and more innovative products.
